Vendor/Principal Conference

NAFED hosts an annual Vendor/Principal Conference. This event is held in conjunction with our Spring Board of Directors meeting.

NAFED’s inaugural Vendor/Principal Conference was Spring 2004 in Atlanta, GA. NAFED invites a select list of our vendors to meet with our principals over the course of two days to build a closer relationship between Vendors and Dealers.

Workshop

NAFED hosts a biennial educational workshop. This event which has frequently been referred to as the best in the industry is held in conjunction with our Fall Board of Directors meeting.

NAFED invites a select list of our vendors to educate our principals and staff over a three day weekend in one of our country's major cities. Most recently, we have had workshops in Atlanta, GA, Charlotte, NC, and Dallas, TX.

Dealers bring new and experienced staff to the workshop to learn about new items, features and benefits of industry staples. Everyone learns at the NAFED workshop and thus becomes a greater, more productive asset to our members.

Scholarship

The Board of Director of NAFED established and voted to fund the NAFED Educational Scholarship in 1999. The Scholarship is awarded to NAFED Dealer employees, and awards $7,500 to the winner and $2,500 to the runner up. (Not for principals or their families.) NAFED employs a third party service to administer the entire application and reward process for complete fairness and impartiality.

CFSP

NAFED supports and promotes the North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers,(NAFEM), and the Certified Food Service Professional (CFSP) program. NAFED's members have many principals and staff who are CFSP certified and have in the past hosted training sessions. NAFED supports the CFSP program and will continue to work in harmony with NAFEM for continued professional development of our members.
