Elected Leadership Supported By Professional Staff
A board of directors runs NAFED and is elected annually from board candidates who are self-nominated from among our membership. NAFED also employs a weighted voting model which allocates votes to the members based on their volume through the group.
A central office, headquartered in Florence, South Carolina, staffs eight highly experienced and well-qualified employees who facilitate group activities. Staff members average more than sixteen years of service, and one key employee has been with NAFED for more than 25 years. This staff includes a CPA and a degreed accountant. The office supports the dealers by providing several key services including invoice-level rebate reconciliation and rebate collections. The office also collects supplier funds for cooperative advertising efforts, manages vendor programs, plans meetings and events, conducts training sessions, provides individual and group rebate tracking and forecasting, and supports other group functions.
